BIBLE SURVEY PART TWO

BIBLE SURVEY PART TWO

 GOD”S PLAN FOR HIS SON
God had a plan for sending Jesus into the world. There are fourteen (14) prophecies as regards that; prophecy is interpreting the will and purpose of God. There could be prediction. The absence of prediction in the prophecy does not disqualify the prophecy. Ephesian 4, Prophets are inspired preacher and expounders of the WORD, those who can interpret the scriptures. Luke 24:27 (Expounded) I Corinthians 14:1(L:B) Acts 13:1 (Amp.). The ministry of a teacher and a prophet look the same.

The prophets foretold in advance about Jesus Christ, 14 things that He will do when He comes;
(1).   The prediction about His birth which states that he will be born by a
        Virgin. Is. 7:4
(2).   The place of His birth. The place of birth of Jesus was predicted to be
         in Bethlehem. Micah 5: 2.
(3)        Prophet Zechariah prophesied that he would be prophet, king and
Priest. Moses and David prophesied concerning His ministry. Zech. 6:13,
        Deut. 18:15, Ps.13:2.
(4)        Isaiah foretold generally about his ministry. He spoke about the
suffering of Christ. Is.61; Is. 53:1-5
(5)        There was a prophecy that he will be a wise and gracious speaker.
         Ps. 49:3
  (6)   Isaiah prophesied that he would be rejected of most men. Is.53: 3.
  (7)   That he will be put to death for man’s sin. Is. 53:5,  Zech. 12:10.
  (8)   That Jesus will be raised from the dead. Ps 16:10
  (9)   That He will be coming into the world to rule and reign. Dan 2. 44-45.
 (10)  That he will judge the world for her sins. Dan. 2:44-45.
 (11)   That he will punish the wicked.  Mal.4:1
 (12)   He will reward the faithful. Is.62:11-12
(13)     He will create a new heaven and a new earth after the destruction of the
         present one. Is: 66:22
 (14)   He would be exalted and worshipped by all men. Is. 66:23.

It was necessary for him to be born by a virgin because he is holy and since he will not be brought forth without the meeting of man and woman (Adamic), God’s plan for every man is contained in the bible i.e. word of God.

GOD’S PLAN FOR THE CHURCH

Before the death of Jesus, He promised that he will build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matt.16: 18. He also promised to send the Holy Ghost. All these promises were fulfilled on the day of one of the great feast of  Israel. The holy ghost came to the world and then the church was born, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ were gathered together and divine power came upon them and they began to speak in new tongues. Acts.2:1-4.

                                    EVENTS UNDER THE CHURCH

Since the day of Pentecost, many mistakes have spread in the church; some people believed that the church is a beautiful place. However, God delivered the church by himself.
        THE DEFINITION OF THE CHURCH.

LEADERS OF THE CHURCH

A Whole member of the church came together as often as possible for prayer. He gave some people to the church, these are known as leaders of the church:

Apostles             Prophets

   Evangelists Pastors

                                                                                        Teachers

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry………e.t.c. Whenever the church meets, these people are there to teach and equip the believers. Such people are regarded as leaders.

Such things happened in the book of Acts, members sold their goods to raise funds for the needy and for the ministry. All meetings of the local church are to be conducted in elderly and sensible faction with the spirit of love and family unity.  As the church chose unity, God was glorified and the church became positive power of God for good in the community. The church should be a place where all believer will be and feel at home.

                    GOD’S PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

God has a plan for everything, now his plan for the future.
What comes next after Rapture? IThess. 4: 13-18.

The plan of God for the future is to pour his wrath upon the nations of the world. Because of the people’s unbelief. This event is being delayed because of                             IIThess. 2. During the time of being with the Lord in heaven, many terrible events will take place.
The great tribulation

A man called the Anti-Christ will be saying “Great” things against God and His holy place. He shall come from the west and he will be called “BEAST”. He will enter into a peace treaty with Israel during the first Three and half years and the time will be peaceful. Afterwards, he will breach the peace treaty, at that time the saints would have been caught up to be with the Lord, the beast will give sign so that anyone not having the mark will not be able to buy or sell. His assistance is called the FALSE PROPHET. He will make an image and give the image power to speak (copying God). People will think it is the messiah.

  THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

God will summon all those that have no eternal life into the Lake of fire for eternal torments forever. Rev. 20:1-5. Those whose names are in the book of Life will live eternal in the new earth for there shall be a new heaven and a new earth. God will be their King forever. This is the plan of God for the People of the earth and it will be completed (Romans). A short work will be performed on the people of the earth. Every dispensation is called a short work. If His plan for this earth is snort, then how beautiful will it be then for the new heaven and the earth.
